To be clear...this place is under new ownership. It's clearly improved across the board! The Brunch is fantastic! Every entree we tried was excellent and the staff friendly and on top of everything! I would definitely give the place another try if you have t within the last 4 months. We will be back for sure!!
Fun atmosphere, stiff drinks, great people and amazing service. It's on the river. Can't wait to see some music there! Great place
First time here! We were greeted at the door and told we could sit anywhere. We loved what they were showing on all the tv's. My husband was very happy that they had the Rangers on. They also had my favorite Austin East ciders and it was served in a nice cold glass. We had the pretzels with cheese and my husband had the BLT. The food tasted fresh and was served quickly. The tables in and outside were clean and inviting. The restrooms were also very clean. We would have loved to sit outside but they are no TV's outside, but our waitress (Olivia) told us they were working on that. Olivia was wonderful and attentive. I like how the managers were willing to help the servers. We will definitely be coming back to watch the Spurs or some of our other favorite teams!
A few girlfriends and I went on a dirty bingo night. We each ordered a starter and all shared with one another. Between us all, we ordered the tin can nachos, Nash French fries and bacon on a hanger. My fave was the bacon, next came the nachos (which were ok) and then the fries (which were a little too spicy for my liking). I ordered the hurricane house special on rocks. The first drink was on point and then we switched tables and got a new waitress who wasn't as attentive as the first one so those last few drinks were just "ok" and not as dressed as the first one. We all enjoyed the dirty bingo but felt the announcer could've been more efficient with time by calling a whole card until getting a bingo instead of a few numbers at a time and then playing a song to its entirety before resuming. It felt like the game was being drug out. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely go back.
I think when the Schoebel's family built this building.....SECRETLY..... they were building a Sports Bar to give as a gift to some really good bar operator to be determined in the future to make it a gathering place that needed a big airy building to pack about 500 TV screens into. Today, we get the return on THEIR investment. Still hamstrung by limited parking, but I think Lucy knew that going in. Like Garth said...sometimes those unanswered prayers pay off....... at least for somebody.
